February 5, 2022 - February 5, 2022
Charleston, SC
And off we go on our 3rd trip within a single week! This time, we're taking a quick day trip to Charleston, South Carolina on the last day of Ryan's 39th year. Our primary goal for this trip is to visit Charles Pinckney National Historic Site - our last national park site in the Palmetto State. We actually have been here several times in the past few years, but we've never "officially" visited. In 2018 we stopped by on our way home from Florida, but it was a Monday, and the park was closed that day. Then, in 2020 we tried again, and although the gates were open, the historic house was closed due to Covid. Now, we're going to try one more time, and hopefully the third time will be a charm! From there, we might take a boat out to Fort Sumter, if time allows. Or, we'll talk a walk around downtown. It'll be chilly, but at least the sun should be out all afternoon!
